Transferable skills workshop
February 20-24, 2023
This training module of the BioInspireSensing project took place at Zymbol S.L in Barcelona in February 2023 under the supervision of Dra. María Fátima Lucas.
Industrial skills training was focused on scientific breakthroughs with commercial models, which was a critical driving factor for Biomed industrial innovation. ESRs learned: i) Gender issues; ii) Storytelling & pitching; iii) Spin-off creation. iv) Business development; v) Public and private fundraising; vi) Patent writing; vii) Understanding market needs; viii) Entrepreneurship; ix) Bootstrapping & design thinking approaches; x) Business model importance; xi) IP protection strategies.
Initial workshop
November 9-11, 2022
The first international workshop attracted external participants in Groningen. External renowned scientists and important companies of the field were invited. The ESRs presented their results to the scientific and relevant industrial community; in addition, a number of top scientists working in the field were invited to give key-note lectures.

Summer School
June 21-24, 2022
The last 21-24th of June, BioInspireSensing Project celebrated a Summer school at the University of Warsaw (Poland). During one week our early stage researchers participated in trainings and lectures about electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, biodegradable polymers and biosensors under the supervision of experts in the field. They also had the chance to visit Warsaw, a bustling metropolis that combines tradition with modernity.

1st Training Module on Ion Channels
April 4-8, 2022
The first training module of the BioInspireSensing project took place in the University of Leuven on April 4-8 under the supervision of Professors Thomas Voets (KU Leuven) and Stephan Kellenberger (Univ. of Lausanne). Thanks to this training, all the early stage researchers got access to specific courses about ion channels under the supervision of experts in the field. These lessons included electrophysiology, sensing ion channels, families and regulation. In addition, they enjoyed visiting some of the most representative monuments of the city.

Students Kick-Off Meeting
January 27-28, 2022
The Students Kick-Off Meeting of the BioInspireSensing project took place on January 27-28, under the organization of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), in Barcelona. During these days, the members could assist to presentations from both the students and project partners, visit the UPC research centers, assist to a workshop about "Micromasculinities", take part in the activity "Hands on polymer characterization" about the synthesis, deposition and characterization of thin films polymers; and enjoy a guided tour in La Pedrera, an iconic building of the city.
